

Marrion was born on May 19, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Robert Elmer Blunt and Vera May (Vredenburgh) Blunt. He graduated from Missouri Valley (Iowa) High School in 1957. Judy was born on August 1, 1946, to Harold and Beulah (Drake) Churchill in Fairbury.
Marrion proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during peacetime in the Vietnam era. Following his service, he married his long-time love, Judy, on February 2, 1967.
A devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandpa and papa, and beloved uncle, Marrion’s deep love for his family defined his entire life. He was a constant pillar of warmth, strength, and devotion to those fortunate enough to know him. Family was his greatest priority, and he poured endless care and pride into every role he held—as a lifelong partner to Judy, a supportive parent, a proud grandpa and papa, and a caring uncle.
Marrion was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy A. (Churchill) Blunt; his brothers Donald Blunt, Marvin Blunt, and Harlan Blunt, and sister Darlene (Blunt) Waples. He is survived by his children Regina Ryan (husband Casey Ryan) and Jason Blunt; He was 'Grandpa' to Robert Ryan III (wife Rachel) and Alexander Ryan, and 'Papa' to granddaughter Brooklyn Blunt; also survived by his sister Arlene (Blunt) Hansen, and many nieces and nephews.
A joint burial service with military honors for Marrion and Judy will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, NE 68138, on September 15th at 1:30 PM.
