Oh granny, we said goodbye to you today. Its hard to believe you are now gone from this earth. Im so happy you are pain free. Whole and healthy, wrapped in the arms of jesus. Your non judgemental ways were such an example for all who knew and loved you. The time spent with you for the past 55 years have been a blessing to me. You supported, loved, comforted me. You never thought negatively, you were always postive and my hugest supporter. The family trips, spending the night with you, watching lawrence welk, popcorn nights will be forever etched in my mind of favorite memories. Your worry during any type of health issue. Always trusting and backing me up when i needed it. Bus rides downtown shopping with you. Taking us to sartor hamann jewelry to show us what you did in your accounting job there. Taking us rollerskating when no one else could, telling me it was important to be involved in fun activities. Attending our school performances and ours kids as well. Just wanting to spend time with me going grocery shopping when you really didnt need anything. For telling me many stories of you and grampy that we had no clue about till our adult years. So very many memories
 Way to many to list. Until we are reunited in heaven. I love you and will miss you everyday of my life. 

Grandma, Thank you for teaching me how to love. I try to follow your example of being humble, compassionate and strong. We share a love of softball and military life. I remember you were 80 and throwing a softball with me.... well maybe tossing-I love your playful nature, your humor and your amazing stories.  Tomorrow, we will celebrate your amazing life. My earliest memories of you were tirelessly pretending to be Elvis or Prince Charming at my request so I could be a princess. You always proudly supported me, no matter what I did. You made me feel so loved. You were a champion for me. You were so kind, patient, silly, matter of fact, concerned with manners, and full of lots of fascinating stories. You and Grandpy married in a whirlwind and made it over 70 years, but you also made it known that marriage required effort. We learned so much from you. 

 I loved looking through your photo albums of the amazing life that you had, and you were more than happy to share them with us. Each time we would come to your house you would always make sure we were well fed. I looked forward to those times together. We always had to make sure not to interrupt your soap opera times though, or if a sport was on that you were counting on watching. The invention of DVR didn’t seem to sway your schedule either :-)

Each time i sit at the sewing machine I inherited from you many years ago, I will welcome the flood of memories that come. You are and forever will be a very special person to me and a Roland. I will always make sure that Milo continues to hear stories of his Granny that loved him so much so he never forgets. 

 I admire you so much, now and always. The  way you loved your family was so gentle and pure, something this world seems to lack much of  the time. It hurts deeply that you are gone, but at the same time the amount of comfort and peace it gives to me knowing that you’re now in heaven with Grandpy and the rest of your family is a thought that I will treasure until I can meet you again. 

What a sweet little lady we met when we moved in next to her 8 years ago. I will never forget her stories and the kind way she had about her. I am sad because of all the memories I remember about her but am happy she is in Heaven with her family now. God Bless the family and Prayers to you all. We are thinking of you.

My Grandmother (Granny) was the very kindest, loyal, truthful, and loving person. She made life Great, when we all thought it was just good. She made sad times better because of positivity!  She made true sorrow better because she said we are all  still here. "Got to keep pressing on" she would say.  I miss you my  lovely,  My mentor my , my protector, my  crusader, my one of a kind perfect person in my eyes.  You have your wings grandma...FLY..

I’m so thankful to call you my granny. All my memories of you and grampy throughout my childhood have always been positive. Thank you for all the times you took me to the Children’s Museum, and the library close to your house, as well as the countless amount of times you would let us run up the dam at Holmes Lake.  Thank you for making me feel like the best cook in the world when I made you jambalaya the times you would visit. You rooted for everyone, always saw the good. You have truly been a gem in our family, and I will miss asking you questions and hearing stories about your life throughout World War II.  You will not be forgotten, and will be so very missed.
