Matthew William Vlcek

Matthew grew up loving and playing sports; everything from baseball to hockey and was an avid champion pool player. He loved to watch and cheer on the Chicago Blackhawks and Oklahoma Sooners. You could could find him going to or watching wrestling with his son Liam. He enjoyed sprint car races, watching his cousin tear up the track. As many of you know, he was an avid Lincoln Stars/Junior Stars follower. He enjoyed his numerous friendships throughout the years - making a friend anywhere and everywhere he went. He took pride in his family, watching them play sports and spending time together. Spending time out on the lake boating, jet-skiing and swimming any chance he could. One of his favorites being the annual family trip to Stockton Lake in Missouri.

He is survived by his children, Liam and Adalyn; their mother, Jessica; his parents, Rodney and Patti (Tim); grandparents, Emily Vlcek and Clarence and Anna Kaiser; sisters, Cassie and Josie; brothers, Jeremy and Matt; aunts and uncles; many, many cousins; and his beloved and faithful dog, Saint.

He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Rylan and Kyler; grandparents, Johnny Vlcek and Richard and Erma Mason.

A visitation will be held on Sunday May 18, 2025 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Monday May 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. Reception to follow at the Lincoln Firefighters Reception Hall, 241 Victory Lane, Lincoln, NE 68528. Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation and his children’s college fund.
