After graduating from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1975, he went on to study Metallurgy at Lincoln Southeast Community College, Milford Campus. After graduation, he landed his first job at Burlington Northern Railroad, kicking off a lifelong career.
He met his wife, Kim Bronson, after he was transferred to the Fridley, MN rail yard. They had two daughters, Moriah and Miranda. After retiring from the railroad, Mike spent his time fishing, golfing and gardening, while cheering on his beloved Huskers. Mike was a great friend to all and it can be said that he never met a stranger.
Michael was predeceased by his father, Cliff Krondak. He is survived by his wife, Kim; daughters, Moriah and Miranda (Luke); mother, Lyndell Krondak; sisters Diane Bullock and Michele Christensen, nieces and great nephews. There will be a private burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
