Mike was born in Providence, Rhode Island on December 04, 1952, to Dorothy (Pearson) and William Sullivan.
Mike graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He also received a Masters Degree in Health Service Administration from Golden Gate University, California.
Mike spent 26 years serving his country in the U.S. Air Force (Active Duty and Reserves) as both enlisted and officer. He served in the Nurse Corps with assignments on four different continents during his career. His most satisfying assignment was as a Battlefield Evacuation Flight Nurse deploying to 15 different countries during a three-year assignment. He retired with the rank of Major. Following his retirement from the Air Force he continued to work as a nurse for several more years. As well as following his wife Annata as she continued her Air Force career.
Mike met his wife Annata Hock when they were both stationed at Vandenburg AFB, California. He considered this his BEST assignment since this is where they met and fell in love. They were married in 1992 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in McCook, Nebraska.
Following Annata’s retirement from the Air Force in 2014, they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where Mike lived happily ever after with Annata, his best friend!
Mike is survived by his wife Annata, a son Sean (previous marriage), sister Patricia Plante, Cousins; Kathy Verron, Jane McImail, and Slyvia Dyar.
