

Nancy Ann Bauer, age 83, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was born on August 14, 1938, in Winside, Nebraska, to Hans and Irene (Myers) Carstens. Nancy became a child of Christ through the gift of Holy Baptism, and publicly professed her faith through confirmation. She was an active member at Holy Savior Lutheran Church for many years until she was no longer able to drive. Nancy attended Winside Public Schools. She married Clark Bauer on July 6, 1958, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Winside. They moved to Lincoln in 1961, where she was a homemaker and supported her husband and raised her two children. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her family, going camping with her husband, especially when the grandchildren came along and would spend the weekends with them camping and fishing. She loved playing cards, games, and bingo with the people at the Community Centers in Lincoln as she got older.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clark; brothers, Dick, Jack, Dean, George, and Leroy; and sister, Ethel.
Nancy is survived by daughter, Cindy (John) Randall of Elkhorn, NE; son, Scott (Janet) Bauer of Malcolm; and the true loves of her life, her grandchildren, Kalee and Andrew Randall and Hope Bauer; sister, Mary Otto of Lincoln, and sister-in-laws, Barb Carstens of Norfolk, NE, and Evelyn Bauer of Aransas Pass, TX; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Committal Service and Interment will be Monday, June 6, 2022, at 9:45 AM, at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. Please meet at Gate 2 of the Cemetery, 15 minutes prior, for a procession back to the gravesite. Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM, at Holy Savior Lutheran Church. 4710 N. 10th St, Lincoln, NE.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
