Earl was born July 16, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Elmer E. and Jennie L. Johnston. He passed away May 5, 2018 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served in the US Army during WWII and was honorably discharged with a rank of T-5. In his later years he took up golfing and was quite good. He enjoyed riding his scooter, being outdoors and people watching. He especially loved spending time with his family and had a special bond with Linda’s dog, Bentley.
Earl was widowed. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Ferguson of Lincoln, Vicky (Robert) McCloskey of Denver, Phyllis (Donald) Malone of Lincoln and Marjorie (John) Shaw of North Bend; brother, Rolland (Waunita) Johnston of TX; sister, Midge (Edward) Dinges of MT and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
