Patrick "Pat" J. Schmid

Patrick J. Schmid, age 74 passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1951, in Columbus, Nebraska to Robert and Viola (Eller) Schmid. Patrick married Brenda J. Beck on September 11, 1981. They had two daughters, Megan and Ashley. He graduated from Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, and retired from Square D where he was employed for 38 years.

Patrick loved his family, his country, spending time with his grandchildren and Husker football and volleyball.

He is survived by his daughter; Megan (Andy) Hill, Ashley (Scott) Ulmer, grandchildren; Harper Hill, Claire Ulmer, Nora Ulmer, brother; Bob (Betty) Schmid, Jim (Peg) Schmid, Bill (Cheri) Beck, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by father; Robert Schmid, mother; Viola Schmid, wife; Brenda Schmid, brother; Dave Schmid; and sister-in-law Connie Beck, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Willard and Dorothy Beck.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life to be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.

Memorials may be given to the family for charitable donations to be made at a later date.
