Paul was born on July 26, 1946 to William "Bill" and Jean Pfundt in Patterson, New Jersey. As a newborn his mother and father moved back to Nebraska and they added a sister to the family. He attended elementary school, junior and senior high schools in Lincoln, Nebraska where they had made their home.
He went on to graduate from Lincoln High School, then attend Milford Technical School in Milford, NE. where he received a degree in electronics. He went through apprenticeship and Journeyman training with the IBEW in Lincoln. Ne. He worked with the IBEW, received his Master Electricians license from the State of Nebraska and became co-owner of Coffman Electric in 1980. From there he started Ind-Com Electric, expanded into Lamp and Lighting Warehouse from 1986 through 2009. During that time he also acquired Potsy's, rebranded and enlarged, changing the name to Sun Valley Bar and Grill.
He enjoyed many activities including, golfing, camping, doing building projects, bowling, sponsoring sprint car racing, fishing and camping. He spent time with others to develop skills to be self-reliant, including his grandson, Dillon. Paul was well loved, respected and remembered by those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois (Timmerman); three children, Todd Pfundt, Kristie Seacrest and Jeff Pfundt, younger sister, Karen (Buesing); a nephew and niece, Ryan and Keely Buesing; six grandchildren, Megan Pfundt Swenson and husband Caden Swenson, Danielle Defreece Anthony and husband Tyler Anthony, Hayley Seacrest, Tanner Vohl, Dillon Seacrest and Connor Pfundt. Great grandchildren; Emma Swenson, Dawson Anthony, Jameson Swenson, Kai Anthony and Noah Swenson and countless friends that he called family.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, 5-7 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home at 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68512. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
