She was born July 19, 1944 and grew up in California. She later moved to Arizona, Nevada, then relocated with family to Nebraska. Before retiring, she worked for many years as an accountant in Laughlin, Nevada. We are grateful to have had a such a beautiful and strong woman spend time here before passing.
Peggy was an avid reader, loved gardening, and had an appreciation of fine art and music. She was an incredible cook and baker and would make enough fudge and peanut brittle for a small country every holiday season! Her favorite flower was the carnation and she had a Diet Coke every day. Peggy was a creative yet practical person that enjoyed sewing, mending and restoring items. She always saw the beauty in old things.
She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Arty. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was a selfless, hardworking woman that brought light, humor, and compassion to not only her family, but to everyone she came in contact with. She is survived by her three children: Deanna Wright, Sherri Wright-Reddin, and James Wright.
Beloved Nana to nine grandchildren: Jess Stiff, Kayla Grace, Mariane Wright, Dustin Wright, MacKayla Wright, Zachary Wright, Jonathan Wright, Kimberly Wright, and Sara-Rose Wright. She leaves behind her great grandchildren Henrietta Stiff, Shawn and Harken Wright and many other family members who will miss her dearly.
The family expresses appreciation to St. Croix hospice staff who provided invaluable care to Peggy during the final weeks of her journey.
Love is what will be remembered most about Peggy.
A memorial will be held to celebrate her life, good memories, and the love she brought to us on July 19, 2020.
