Phyllis B Fulliton, age 96, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on August 22, 2026. She was born on January 30, 1930, in Loup City, Nebraska, to her parents William and Clara (Hunt) Weehler. She grew up on the family farm outside of Loup City. Phyllis graduated from Loup City high school and moved to Lincoln shortly after graduation.
For a short time, Phyllis worked for Back to the Bible in Lincoln. On June 11, 1950, Phyllis married Earl Fulliton in Loup City. After she and Earl were married, Phyllis was a loving homemaker. They made their home in Lincoln, where they raised their two sons. Phyllis was devoted to her family and was always protective of her boys. As a family, they took annual vacations to Minnesota. In their retirement years they enjoyed traveling to Florida as well.
Phyllis enjoyed shopping and took pride in decorating her home. She was very involved in the churches she attended. She and Earl were members of Temple Baptist in Lincoln for a great number of years and, more recently, attended Indian Hills Community Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, and her grandson, Chase Fulliton. She is survived by her sons, William (Christine) Fulliton, PHD and Don (Kayleen) Fulliton; grandchildren, Luke (Chelsea) Fulliton, Natalie (Tom) Pizzo, Levi (Jean) Fulliton, Sam (Claire) Fulliton, Lucy (Grant) Pieper, and step-granddaughter, Laura Strang; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 am, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Park & Cemetery, immediately following the funeral service. A reception will be held at the Funeral Home following the services in the cemetery.
