She was born on 11/29/1930 in Smithfield, Nebraska to her parents, Herman and Mima Holthus.
She married Leland Oberg in June of 1950 and they raised three children; Greg, Steve, and LeAnn in Gothenburg, Nebraska. In 1968, they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.
Phyllis earned her teaching certificate, but was very devoted to being a wife and mother. She enjoyed reading, square dancing, golfing, puzzles, cardinals and she loved her sweet Cocker Spaniel, Tiffany.
Survived by; her sons, Greg (Kim) Oberg, Steve Oberg (Karla Labenz), grandsons; Preston and Dallas Oberg.
Preceded in death by; her husband, Leland Oberg, and daughter, LeAnn.
