

Phyllis Rose Synhorst was born on October 21, 1933, in Grand Island NE to Ned and Margaret Arnold. Phyllis attended Grand Island High School graduating in 1951. While working as a bookkeeper for Canteen Vending Company in Grand Island, she met Gordon D. Synhorst, and they were married on June 20, 1953. They moved to Winona Minnesota and had three children, Raymond, Patricia and Paul. They moved to Lincoln NE where they raised their family. Phyllis continued to work for the family business, Canteen Vending Company. After selling the business she worked as a clerk for the State of Nebraska. After Gordon’s death in 1994, Phyllis spent much of her life living with her daughter Patty and son-in-law Tony helping to raise their children.
Phyllis is survived by her son Paul (Jacki) Synhorst, son-in-law Tony Pacheco; grandchildren Taylor (Steph) Synhorst, Katelynn (Curtis) Danek, Jake (Kristin) Lobeda, Jessie Pacheco, Neil (Valerie) Lobeda, Shawn Synhorst, and eight great-grandchildren; Isabella & Sloan Danek, Josie, Odessa, Laila, Sophia, Isaiah & Djerry Lobeda.
Phyllis is preceded in death by husband Gordon, son Ray and daughter Patty Pacheco.
Family requests donations in Phyllis’s name to the Alzheimer Association.
