

RaeLeen (Monroe) Formanek was born on May 19, 1959 in Lincoln to Janice (Phillips) and Norman Monroe. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, November 10, 2017. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, past member of the Nebraska Music Teachers Association and Job’s Daughters. RaeLeen loved her music and played the piano, violin and guitar. She was a very unselfish loving and caring person who had many friends. RaeLeen is survived by her ex-husband and best friend Paul Formanek, daughter, Angela (Eddie Jr.) Gonzales, three beautiful grandchildren, Eddie III, Ethan, and Angelia Gonzales, mother and stepfather, Janice and Leonard Schneider, sister, Pam Wakeman, nephews, Chris Jones, Jeremy Jones, all of Lincoln, niece, Kasey Wakeman of Bedford, Texas, uncle, Galen(Marion) Phillips of Fairbury, aunt, Marilyn Monroe Mortensen of Michigan, stepsister, Vickie Jones of Lincoln, stepbrothers, Terry (Dee) Schneider of Lincoln, Randy Schneider of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, father, Norman (Cynthia) Monroe of Lincoln, stepsisters, Debbie (Henry) Olivares and Julie Springer of Lincoln, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cliff Phillips, Hal and Ellen Lease, Bill and Ollie Monroe, step niece, Stephanie Wever. Visitation: Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service: Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 525 N. 58th Street, Lincoln. Interment: Tecumseh City Cemetery Memorials: In care of Angela Gonzales, 2930 N. 63rd Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68507 to be used for her children’s education.
