Dick worked for our small start up Industrial Air Specialists. He had a wonderful demeanor and was a hard working intelligent man of faith. We wish our condolences to the family.

We spent many years at Vine Congregational UCC before our move to Colorado with Dick and Phyllis, Jesse and Erin, sharing worship, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, committee and board responsibilities ... and so many fun family activities as well. Lots of fond memories. We want you to know we are thinking of you and extending our sympathies in the loss of Dick. Wish we could be there for the memorial service to honor and celebrate his life. I remember that Dick was the smartest person in our Grand Island Trinity Lutheran grade school class! He was especially good at math and that impressed me because I wasn't much good at math. Our family knew his family quite well since my father was Rev. Otto B. Hussmann, the pastor at Trinity and Dick's mother was the church secretary and my sister, Katherine was in Ruth's class. Dick's father was also very active in church work. I'm sorry to hear of his death and wanted to express condolences to the family.

Dick and I were in junior high and high school together (one grade apart), but we did a lot of activities together. He was always one of the most respected people, and to his family---I share in your grief and sorrow. My deepest sympathies to all of you, and our prayers will continue.

We met Dick and Phyllis on many college ball fields cheering the baseball team and our sons.
Dick's eyes were so expressive: smiling and proud as he watched Jesse play.
We could tell he was a baseball fan and loved watching his Jesse play.
Dick's genuine friendly smile was wide and welcoming, but the smile in his eyes was much more grand and is so memorable.
We are sorry for the family's loss.
