

Kathy Louise Kohler Bayliss was born January the 16th 1946 to Guy Allen Kohler and Mildred Speck Kohler in Omaha, Nebraska. Kathy was preceded in death by her Father Guy and sister Sharron and nephew Richard. Kathy was survived by husband Robert (Toby), daughter Katie Bayliss, Son Bobby Bayliss, Mother Mildred Kohler and Nephew Robert Runge. Kathy was full of life if you did not get a chance to know her you sure missed out. She was a banker and also a school teacher with a specialty in special education. There was never a person that Kathy considered a stranger. She loved when family came together so she could cook for everyone. She was an expert shooter and also a Job’s daughter, she sang in the choir and played multiple instruments from the piano and the violin. She graduated High school in Omaha, Nebraska and attended Ottawa University. She loved to be outdoors camping and on the lake. Robert and Kathy were Married on October the 15th 1985 and spent over 36 years together. Kathy passed in Lincoln, Nebraska on December the 27th 2012 surrounded by her husband, daughter and son as well as additional family.
Robert Richard Bayliss also known as Toby or Bob was born to Robert Eugene Bayliss and Harriet Udene Stephens Bayliss on May the 15th 1946 in Rushville, Nebraska. Robert was preceded in death by Wife Kathy, Father Robert, step father John, Mother Harriet, Sister Ann Carol, Sister Karen, Brother Eugene, Brother John and son Michael. Robert was survived by Daughter Katie Bayliss, son Bobby Bayliss and Son Kenneth Bayliss and Sister Diana Bayliss. Robert was a mechanic by trade and a lover of all things racing. He was the man's man. He rode motorcycles, built engines and raced cars. When he was not working he spent his time in the Mountains of Wyoming with his second family Les and Pat Hare and son Bobby. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and living life with his family. He spent over 36 years with wife Kathy and retired in Grafton Nebraska where she put him to work on her garden and projects to keep him busy. Robert eventually moved in with family in Alvo Nebraska where he passed in his sleep on February the 27th 2025.
Celebration of life to be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home on June the 14th of 2025 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
