Robert Leroy Hanna

Graduating from Grand Island High School with honors Bob received the Leo A Daly Architectural Scholarship to the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He completed his Bachelors degree in 1963 as well as his AIA and NCARB accreditation and license which allowed him to practice in all states. The majority of his practice was associating with large nationally known firms which built stadiums and sports complexes, projects he called "Sports Palaces".

As a skilled watercolorist, in 1971, Bob traveled the state of Nebraska drawing rural buildings of interest and published two books...Sketches of Nebraska and A Nebraska Portfolio.

Bob and Arlene Urban met in Junior High School, and married in 1959. Their three children include: Laura Ballantyne (Joel) Cumming, Ga, Bob Hanna San Diego, Ca and Lisa Hanna (deceased 2015) Manchester, NH. Bob is also survived by a grand daughter Hanna Hendrickson (Ryan) Atlanta, GA and two great grandchildren Graham and Miles.

Bob will be cremated, his legacy of kindness, and true love of preserving the magnificent and irreplaceable structures that dot the landscape of the plains will always be remembered.
