Robert Louis Hertzel Sr., age 83, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was born December 17, 1940 to Henry H. and Ruth E. Hertzel. Bob is survived by his loving children, Veronica (David) Lueders, Robert Hertzel Jr., Teresa (Kent) Bouma, Michelle Wessel and David Hertzel; grandchildren, Kara Wessel, Madison Wessel, Kaitlyn Hoffman, Robert Hertzel III, Tory Bouma, Garrett (Kelsey) Bouma, Ashley (Travis) Wulf, Benihana (Diana) Lueders and Drew Lueders; niece Susan Agena; nephews Roger Hertzel Jr., Mike Hertzel Jr. and Greg Stalnaker; 7 great-grandchildren; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife Patricia R. Hertzel; parents, Henry H. and Ruth E. Hertzel; siblings, Roger E. Hertzel, Marilyn R. (Thomas H.) Harvell, Michael W. Hertzel; nephew John Hertzel, niece Kathy Gray and Bear his favorite dog.
A celebration of life for Robert will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512. Memorials to the family to be designated at a later date.
