Roberta Mae Ourecky (Essman), born on July 14, 1936, in Wilber, Nebraska, to Robert and Mildred Hoffman. Roberta (Berta) passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 89. She enjoyed family, cross stitching tea towels, working puzzles, traveling and making scrapbooks of all her adventures.
She is survived by her children Rodene (Larry) Brchan, Robin (Joe) Bath, Rodney (Linda) Essman; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, that all called her Berta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Edward Essman; second husband Lawrence Ourecky and sister Darlene Brydl.
A visitation will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, located at 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68512, on February 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A private family burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park and Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68512.
