Robyn grew up in Lincoln and enjoyed reading thriller books and playing outside with neighbors; some becoming lifelong cherished friends. She graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1992, As an adult, Robyn worked in the Lincoln area where she became a concrete mixer driver for Ready Mixed Concrete and, after 11 years, was promoted as the first female in dispatch. Robyn was extremely proud of her 25+ years of service at Ready Mixed Concrete, often posting about jobsite progress on social media and putting in long hours at the office.
Beyond her passion to excel at work, Robyn’s true joy was found in spending time with her mother, Shirley, and love of her life, Shannon. Robyn and Shirley were best friends and, prior to covid, could often be found eating out and shopping on the weekends. After purchasing her first motorcycle in 2003, Robyn was a proud supporter and knew several members of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club and, through the club, met Shannon in 2007. As a couple, they would partake in Memorial Day festivities annually in Falls City, travel to Sturgis, and experience memorable trips throughout the Midwest.
Robyn will most be remembered for her huge heart. She was smart, extroverted, had a deep respect for veterans, and never forgot a person’s name. Her friendships were meaningful and Robyn adored spoiling those closest to her.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and is gravely felt by her family and countless others who loved her deeply. Those left to mourn her loss are her mother, Shirley Feldt; significant other, Shannon Plumb; her half-sisters; Christine Kunz (John) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Jane Somerhiser (son Sam) of Nevada. Preceding her in death are her half-brother Loren Feldt; grandparents, Phyllis and Johnny Downs; and father, Jackie Feldt.
