

Born July 9, 1942, in Chadron, Nebraska, Sally graduated from Chadron High School. A longtime resident of Lincoln and extreme Husker fan, she was a swimmer and bowler who played drums for the Southern Bells. She enjoyed music and playing cards, and served on her neighborhood homeowners association. Professionally, she worked as a stockbroker at First Mid America, co-owned the Beverage Cooler, worked at Camp Kitaki, and was a call center representative for Nationwide Insurance.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Greenwalt; her partner, Cheri Thurby; her brother, Jerry Bauman; her granddaughter, Alexis Pfeffer and her husband, Justin; and great-grandsons Rory and Calvin.
She was preceded in death by her partner, Barbara Elliott; her parents, E.O. and Freida Bauman; her brother, Tom Bauman; and her former husband, Loren Greenwalt.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park with her mother. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha, or by rounding up your next meal at McDonald’s.
Sally never kept her time, her stories, or her kindness to herself—Throughout her entire life, she gave unconditionally with purposeful and random acts of love and kindness; which came straight from her heart.
