Scarlet Kebik Kokichi, age 46, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska. Scarlet was born to Kokichi Ingas and Ramona Ngiraingas on November 23, 1977 in Koror, Palau.
She went to Koror Elementary School and Bethania High School on the island of Palau. She then attended Grace Bible College in Michigan and then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend UNL. Scarlet was a devoted manager of the Walgreens at 14th and Superior Street where she worked for over 20 years. In her personal time, she enjoyed reading and the outdoors (even though she had severe allergies). She loved her church and volunteered her time by teaching Sunday School at Christ Place Church. Even though Scarlet didn’t have children of her own, kids always gravitated to her.
Scarlet is survived by her mother, Ramona; sisters Charm and Abby; nieces and nephews, Bilakrei, Aki, Udel and Tobi; along with many other beloved relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Kokichi, and brother, Scott Kokichi. Scarlet was truly loved by her family and friends. Her smile, laughter, and presence will be sorely missed, but know she is in a better place with God.
A visitation for Scarlet will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68512. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
