Never has there been a woman like Sherry and never will there be again. Born in Marion, Illinois her family moved to Arizona and after a brutal childhood found happiness in marriage and children. Moving to Nebraska in the early 70's, she kicked butt in a man's world, working her way from cocktail waitress and bartender all the way to owning her own very successful nightclub and restaurant called Sherry's Dining, Dancing & Romancing. She commanded loyalty and embraced all in friendship. Sherry loved nothing more in life than a great book, a cocktail, and her pup Romeo. Her granddaughter Madison brought her immense joy during the last chapter of her life as she passed on to her all of her knowledge and wisdom. She was attacked by cancer and never yielded or lost her smile. Sherry is survived by numerous friends, two sons who love her infinitely and the thousands who will always remember fondly being part of this inspirational woman's life. She lives forever in all of us!Graveside Service 11:00 AM, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum 6800 South 14th Street Lincoln, Nebraska.

My name is Dena. Mike and I have the house next door to Sherry. I will miss her so! We would flag her over at night if we were sitting on our deck, we would have a cocktail. She would talk about her life, saying it was the best life, she had no regrets. She loved Romeo and early in the mornings, we were usually taking our dogs out at the same time and would do a quick wave. She never complained, she never held her tongue( which I LOVED about her), she was strong and independent.
Here's to Sherry, I hope she's having a cocktail and I know she is now free of pain.
