

Shirley Ann (Cooper) Brozek was born December 2, 1933 and passed away November 5, 2017. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1951 and taught in several rural schools in the area. In 1954 she married Charles Brozek and they moved to Lincoln. Shirley was employed at the Elgin Watch Factory, Russell Stovers, the State of Nebraska and Square D; she also ran a daycare in her home. After her retirement, she volunteered at Foodnet for over twenty years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Robert, her husband Charles, parents, sister Lou and brothers, Keith, Paul and Eugene. Survivors include her sister, Doris (Mick) Eyman, her sons, Steven (Jean) Brozek, David (Carol) Brozek, Dennis (Diane) Brozek all of Lincoln and James (Jennifer) Brozek of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandsons, Sean (Kelsey) Brozek, Jeremy (Stephanie) Brozek, Jordan Brozek and Joseph Brozek; step-grandchildren, Joel Lyons, Ann Brozek, Erica (Noah) Witkowicz, Sara (Garrett) Jones, Erin (Tim) Uher and Allison Brozek, as well as 16 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
