Our loving mother, Stella A. Woerth of Lincoln, NE. passed away peacefully at home on the evening of November 5, 2025 in the arms of her great-grandson, Matthew. Born July 10, 1932 to Amos and Mary Christoffersen in Ord, NE. The youngest of five children. She married Charles Woerth on April 30, 1949. From this marriage five children would be born, Steven, Paul, Roxanne, James, and Christopher (died at birth). Early in their marriage, Charles worked for J.C. Penny Co. and the two of them moved frequently whenever Charles was promoted. In 1958 the family moved to Columbus, NE. where Charles started working for Woerth Construction. The family moved to Lincoln in 1970 where Stella and Charles lived for the rest of their lives. Everywhere they lived, Stella was active in the community including Jaycees, coaching girls basketball, and always participating and supporting women’s organizations in the Catholic Church. Throughout their time in Columbus Stella and Charles square danced almost every weekend. They were one of the four couples known as the Rolling Promenaders who square danced on roller skates. Throughout her life, Stella worked at various jobs but primarily she did the hardest job there is and that was being a loving mother. She loved doing crafts and many of the family benefited from her beautiful creations. The family loved camping, boating, and fishing. The whole extended family enjoyed the family reunions that she organized each year until turning this over to the next generation.
