Suzanne Barrett

Suzanne graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1948. She retired from Ameritas in 1993 after more than 30 years of service. She married Paul Steeves in 1958 until his death in 1990. From this union, three children were born: Richard, Paula and Dennis. She married Robert Barrett in 2002 after meeting at the bowling alley until his passing in 2022. Suzanne was an avid bowler for many years, enjoyed traveling, along with quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Paula Krajnik (Greg) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dennis Steeves of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchild Paul Pape (Amy) of Kearney, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Caleb, Hattie, and Elsie; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Steeves; siblings, Carl "Dick" Amos, JoAnn Essman, Jacki Nispel; and both spouses.
