Maxine arrived in Lincoln on August 26, 1926. Born the second of six children to William and Julia Schneiber. She graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1944. In 1946 she married Bill Legas and had three sons, Donnie, Jerry, and Jack. Married John McGovern in 1952 and together they had one daughter, Linda. They were married for almost 20 years during which time they farmed in the Davey area then purchased a new home in Lincoln. While farming and being a wife and mother, she also managed to be the payroll clerk for Sears & Roebuck for many years. In 1971 she found her soul mate and married Donald Drevo who passed away in 2013. In 1977 together they became founding members of
Calvary Community Church. They would go on to receive much comfort from the Church and it's other members. She often said the highlight of her life was her and Don's trip to Israel. Maxine spent her last years enjoying life and relaxing in her beautiful addition that Jack and Patti added to their home.
She is survived by her four children: Donnie (Shary) Arizona, Jerry (Renee) Florida, Jack (Patti) Lincoln and Linda (Tony) Wyoming, eight grandchildren: Brett, Amanda, Tammy, Terry, Tim, Shannon, Amber and Beth and all of her many great and great-great grand children.
Maxine was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and husband Don.
