Todd Wayne Mitchell

Todd Wayne Mitchell, 66, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Born to Carrol and Dyllis Mitchell, Todd was a loving father, grandfather, and friend with a heart of gold. He deeply loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. Always willing to lend a hand, Todd was someone others could count on, and his caring nature extended far beyond his own family. He had a big heart, a stubborn streak, and a way of making a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Todd loved sports throughout his life, from playing with neighborhood kids growing up, to always having football on his TV during the season. He was a phenomenal bowler, playing in many leagues over his life time. He enjoyed golf with his son and son-in-law as he got older. Relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sunshine, while listening to his favorite classic rock songs, became one of his favorite things to do. Many could picture him bobbing his head, snapping his fingers with his eyes closed, and enjoying Bob Segar. A hardworking man, Todd began his career delivering newspapers as a child. He went on to work in several grocery stores as a manager, and eventually retired from BMS Logistics.

Todd is survived by his three children, Stephanie Mitchell, Dustin (Jess) Mitchell, and Rachelle (Andrew) Bouwens and his two grandchildren, Tayler Mitchell and Blake Bouwens. Along with many other loved ones who will cherish his memory.

He will be remembered for his big heart, his dedication to family, and the love he shared with so many. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 15th from 12-3pm at The Confetti Corner: 8211 Yankee Woods Dr. Suite F. Lincoln, Ne 68516.
