

Velma Kay Norden, 79, passed away Thursday (11-2-2023). Kay was born 10/14/1944 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Lloyd and Verna (McCown) Morris. She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School and the University of Nebraska. She married Carl Norden in 1964. Kay and Carl initially resided in Lincoln, Nebraska and then moved to Holdrege and later Broken Bow, Nebraska. In more recent years, they moved to Colorado to be close to their grandchildren. Kay was a lover of music and singing, animals, and spending time at the lake. In memory of her love of bright colors, please wear bright clothing to the services.
Kay is survived by her husband Carl Norden, Longmont, CO; sons and daughters-in-laws, Brad and Jeri Norden, Longmont, CO; Brett and Sarah Norden, Columbia, MO; Sisters and brothers-in-laws Steve Norden, Parker, CO; Cathie Mazour, Sioux City, IA; Denise Maseman, Omaha, NE; Lynne and Terry Wood, Omaha, NE. Kay is also survived by six grandchildren; Brennan, Alexis, Bryce, Crew, Cole and Carlisle. Kay was predeceased in death by her parents.
