Vernes Foreman

Vernes C. Foreman, age 85 of Lincoln, went to be with Jesus in heaven on March 29, 2018. She was surrounded by her family in her passing. She was born in Rural DeWitt, NE on June 5, 1932 to Otto and Katherine (Bergmeier) Wollenburg. She was a 1949 graduate of DeWitt High School. On September 10, 1953 she married Stanley C. Foreman. Vernes worked at S.S. Kresge and Kmart until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Evangelical United Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Vernes enjoyed spending time with all her family and loved going to all her relatives sporting events. She especially treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Vernes is survived by her children, Stan (Carlene) of Dallas, and Harry (Gale) of Lincoln; grandchildren Travis (Amanda), Lori (Pat) Loder, Ranae all of Lincoln and Joseph of Albuquerque; Great Grandchildren, James and Jeremy; brothers, Alfred, Donald (Shirlie); sisters Lucille, Kathryn (Gary); sisters-in-laws Annie, Judy. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stan; brothers, Raymond (Katie), John (Phyllis), Ernest, Otto, Robert; sisters, Gertrude (Mike), Louise (John), Ruth (Eugene), sisters-in-law, Lorraine, Evelyn, brothers-in-law Jack, Oscar, Ronald.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at the United Lutheran Church at 60th and Fremont St with Pastor Neal Anthony officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Lutheran Church.
