Vernon G Martin, 68 of Lincoln, NE and of Springfield, MO passed away October 28, 2015. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 3, at 300 pm in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm. Vernon Martin was born February 15, 1947 in Lincoln Nebraska to Ray and Lenora (Larsen) Martin. He graduated from Northeast High School. He was a much loved, son, father, husband, uncle, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend to many. He was a Master plumber at Ray Martin Plumbing Company and later took over ownership in his younger years. He also worked several years at Kiner Supply. He worked at Bass Pro in Springfield, MO until his passing. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends Preceded by his father and mother, two brothers; Ray Martin Jr. Johnny D Martin, sister; Lois (Martin) Knickerbocker, wife Kay (Miller) Martin; daughter; Luann Miller. Survived by: wife Colleen (Roser) Martin; son and daughter-in- law Bruce and Mandy Miller; daughter and son-in- law, Sandi and Fred Madison; step-children; Rebecca Roser; Rick, John and Jim Roser. 7 grandchildren; 13 step grand-children; 3 great grand-children; 10 step great-grand children and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
