Vincent Albert Kamrath was born January 17, 1926 in a farm near Martinsburg, Nebraska to Albert William Herman Kamrath and Clara Lewise Albertina Harder. He went to a rural school District 13 near Ponca and Ponca High School. He attended Wayne State College for a year in 1944 before serving in WWII, In European Theater. Vince met the love of his life in 1947 when he was at Kearny, Nebraska; her name was Maxine Wolfe. They married June 3, 1952 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Nebraska by Rev. Alvin J. Nordin. They adopted two children Eric and Suzi. Vince and Maxine were married 54 years before Maxine passed.
Vince graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.
Vince worked at Western Paper Company for 37 years. He was an active member of Troop 2 as an assistant Scout Master for 25 years; Vincent loved to train his Shelties for obedience; Flipper helped fill the void after Maxine passed. Vincent helped with shows and was member of Greater Lincoln Obedience Club for 30 years and very devoted to Christian; he was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church for 40 years. He was very proud when he went to the Old Testament Series and never missed a class or service.
Vince was known for being a kind, gentle nature, caring father, friend, neighbor. He was loved by so many.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife and brother Clair.
Survived by son Eric (Jeanie) of Chicago; daughter Suzi Vetter of Lincoln; grandson Derek Carstens of Lincoln; granddaughter Jennie & Rosemary of Chicago.
