

Waunita had made Lampasas County her home since 1976. Over the years, she built a life centered around family, love, and the simple joys that brought beauty and warmth to those around her. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, crafting, and doing ceramics, and she shared her creativity and care through the many things she made with her hands and heart.
Waunita will be remembered for her loving spirit, her creativity, and the devotion to God and her family. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on through the generations she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her son, Steven Johnston of Kempner; daughter, Talhia Rasberry and husband, Travis, of Hooks, Texas; and daughter, Khila Lemons of Kempner, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lode Rasberry, Shawn Rasberry, and Brodie Lemons; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Beaver, Jordan Stephens, Avery Schichit, Thomas Schichlt, Kiiya Carlson and husband, Nicholas, Carver Rasberry, Koda Stone and wife, Daniele, and Andrew Lode Rasberry; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Waunita was preceded in death by her parents, William Balster and Georgia Gunn; her beloved spouse, Roland L. Johnston; one granddaughter, Tamra Stone; one great-grandchild, Taunton Stone; and two sisters.
Waunita's family and friends will cherish the memories of her kindness, her talents, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
