Wava Lou Coatman, age 87 of Lincoln passed away on January 10, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1929 in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Willard and Minnie Harris. Wava married Richard Coatman on December 13, 1958. Wava was a 55 year member of the Lincoln Women’s Bowling Association and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996. She was an avid fan of baseball, golf and children. Wava is survived by sons, Rick Brehm of Mesa, Arizona; Mick Coatman of Lincoln; grandsons, Matt (Tami) Coatman of Lincoln; Mike (Stacie) Coatman of Lincoln, great-granddaughters, Macy and Alli. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and her daughter, Randi Brehm. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
