Waynette was born in Lincoln, NE. She was the daughter of Wayne E. and Margaret A. (Patton) Garrett. She grew up in Lincoln, graduating from Lincoln High School.
She lived in Lawton, Oklahoma for 8 years in the 60’s. After returning to Lincoln, she worked and retired from State Farm Insurance company.
She was a member of Crestwood Christian Church for many years. When her health prevented her from physically attending church she enjoyed attending online services from First-Plymouth Church in Lincoln. She enjoyed listening to Dr. Jim Keck’s sermons each week. Waynette had recently made a big move to Rockwall, Texas to live with her daughter Julie. Her time in Texas was short but big on memories, especially a big birthday bash for her 84th birthday, and a big Easter celebration at the home of her youngest granddaughter, as well as a couple sleepovers with great grandchildren and a special visit from Scott and Ha.
Left to cherish Waynette’s memory are Daughter, Julie (Scholl) Wagner, Rockwall, Texas; Son and daughter in law, Scott A and Katherine Ha Scholl, Little Rock, Arkansas; Grandchildren, Ashley (Hyde) Stroud, Anadarko, Oklahoma; Jessica (Hyde) Smith, Forney, Texas; Mark Scholl, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kyle Wagner, Royse City, Texas; Kendra Wagner, Forney, Texas; Step grandchildren Jonny, Jimmy, and Kevin Ton; 11 great grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Waynette was preceded in death by daughter Linda K Scholl on January 14, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.

A visitation for Waynette will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
