William (Bill) Shaffer, age 93, Lincoln, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2019, into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born July 10, 1925, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, to James E. Shaffer and Siddie May (Jackson) Shaffer. Graduate of Cleo Springs High School and Milford Trade School where he received an electronics degree. Served two years in the Korean War.
Bill worked for an electronics company in Hastings and later started his own business, Shaffer Communications, in Lincoln; traveling Nebraska extensively serving customers. Bill was an active member of Temple Baptist Church and more recently attending Lincoln Berean Church.
Bill & his wife, June, who preceded him in death, had four children: David (Gayle), Rick (Cindy), Sharon (Kevin) Konyha, Christie (Chris) West, who survive and wife, Virlene (Coffey) Shaffer and four step-children: Shelly (Carol) Coffey, Kim (Scott) Little, Shawn (Todd) Jadwin and Todd (Kerri) Coffey, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Viewing 4-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memorial. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Lincoln Memorial Chapel, 6800 So. 14th Street, Lincoln. Memorials to Lincoln Berean Church or Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp, Genoa.
