

Buzz was born on May 16, 1950, in Denver Colorado, to William and Billie Skov.
He attended Lincoln High School and, following graduation, was drafted into the United States Army. Buzz honorably served his country during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1972. Following his miliary service, he pursued a career as a machinist and worked for Parker Hannifin for 34 years before retiring in 2012.
Buzz had a lifelong passion for classic automobiles and anything car-related. Over the years, he owned and restored numerous classic cars and was proud to participate in many car shows, earning countless trophies and awards. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow car enthusiasts and treasured the friendships he made through the hobby.
Buzz was preceded in death by his parents, William Skov, Sr. and Billie Skov; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Judith Buchanan; brother-in-law, Timothy Knopp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elaine Skov (Buchanan); sons, Robert Buchanan (Jennifer) and Tony Skov; granddaughters, Samantha Skov (Corbin) and Sophie Mueller; grandsons, Chace Buchanan; Austin Watson; great-granddaughters, Chevelle, Nova, and Vega Skov; sister, Christie Knopp; and brothers, Richard Skov and Donald Skov and his cherished friend John Reifenrath.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Buzz will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his strong work ethic and his enduring love of classic cars.
