in Cienfuegos, Cuba on February 18, 1929. She had two sisters and three brothers, who are
deceased. She was a school teacher in Cuba for 26 years before coming to the United States in
1974. She was the beloved wife of Edmundo Caballero and beloved mother of Ana Nistal and
Ofelia Acevedo. She had two sons-in-law, Melanio Nistal and Javier Acevedo. She was also the
loving grandmother of Gregory, Jessica, Daniel, Jonathan and Melanio as well as Leah by
marriage. She also had two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jackie. In the last few months of
her life, she was very well cared for by her niece, Pilar. She was also the loving aunt of Philip,
Kathy, Sheila and Rich, and sister-in-law of Gloria Novo. Our hearts are broken and we will
miss you always. However, we take comfort in that you are resting and in the loving hands of God.
A visitation for Ana will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
