Today, it is with extreme sadness that we share that our dad (Mr. B, Anthony, Tony) passed away yesterday.
He had been in the hospital for the past several weeks, fighting a number of issues (non-COVID related). Things were looking positive for a while, but over the past week after a necessary surgery, he took a turn for the worse until he inevitably lost his fight.
And fight he did...even the doctors would note how much of a fighter he was, right until the end.
Much like our mom, dad was a father to many. An honorably discharged Army Veteran, he retired as a tool & dye maker from Migro Mold, Linden, after 40 years. He would spend many a day volunteering with the Elizabeth HS marching band as a band parent, and working and touring many years with the Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps. He was there to spend time with and support his sons…but also for his other “kids”, who loved “Mr. B” like another dad.
Dad was a strong man, who always worked hard for his family. He, along with mom, gave us so much love, and gave us each other. They are the reasons we are who we are today…and words cannot express the love and gratitude we have for those gifts.
Mom was the world to him and the love of his life. Knowing they are together again is the one thing that is bringing a smile to our faces in this sad time. We can imagine him walking up behind her, tapping her shoulder, “Hey, Con…” and sharing a hug that will make the angels jealous.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Constance (2018), he was the devoted father of Gregg, Scott and his wife Debbi, Todd and his wife Elise. Cherished grandfather of Frank and Scott. Also predeceased by 2 brothers; Michael and John, 3 sisters; Ann Carmello, Julia Broda and Mary Fedeckyj.
We love you, and miss you…and always will…
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Visiting 8:30 am until time of funeral mass at St. Hedwig RC Church, Elizabeth at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden.
