Barbara was born on September 19, 1935, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Vincent and Stephanie (née Sawicki) Kominski. She had been a resident of Naples for the past 26 years, having moved from Linden, New Jersey.
After marrying the love of her life, Paul W. Gorda, Barbara devoted herself to her family and enjoyed being a homemaker while raising their three daughters. Her family was always at the center of her life, and she especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After moving to Naples, Barbara became a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Evans (R. Stephen Evans, D.M.D.), Barbara Mundy (the late Barry Mundy), and Lisa Gorda, all of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Paul Evans (Allison) of Naples, FL, Dr. Timothy Evans (Dr. Diana Evans) of Tampa, FL, Brooke Theckston (Daniel) of Estero, FL, and Kenneth Mundy (Taylor) of Naples, FL; and nine great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul W. Gorda, who passed away on May 6, 2008.
Visitation will be held at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, US, on September 14, 2026, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 220 E Blancke St, Linden, NJ 07036, US, on September 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Committal will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07067, US.
