Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Barbara later settled in Linden after marrying the love of her life, Emil J. Zdziarski. They shared 48 beautiful years together before his passing in 2011. For the past nine years, she lived in Middletown, where she created new memories while staying deeply connected to her roots in Union County.
Most of her life was dedicated to her family. Barbara was a loving homemaker, and when her children grew up, she worked part-time in the bakery department at Foodtown, where she made many lifelong friends.
She loved the simple joys of life, including Sunday drives, reading the Sunday paper at the marina, celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family, and cooking the meals that brought everyone together. A devoted QVC fan, Barbara loved watching her favorite shows, shopping, and attending QVC live events where she enjoyed meeting the television personalities she admired. She also loved the Jersey Shore and treasured her memories of family trips to Wildwood and Cape May.
At home, she enjoyed quiet evenings watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune with her daughter and her beloved dogs, Jolie and Bianca, who always made her smile. Watching The Price Is Right and Let’s Make a Deal was also part of her daily morning routine and brought her so much joy.
Barbara is survived by her loving daughter Jackie Zdziarski, her cherished grandchildren Krystyna Quevedo and Matthew Quevedo, her sister-in-law Judy Shuta, her cousins, and nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband Emil J. Zdziarski, her daughter Debra J. Quevedo (husband, Byron Quevedo), her son Thomas E. Zdziarski, her parents Jean T. (Stec) Shuta and Edward Shuta, and her brother Edward Shuta.
Barbara’s love, strength, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
