

Carlos was a widower, predeceased by his wife, Leopoldina Teixeira Lourenco. He was preceded in death by his son, Mario Teixeira Lourenco and his brother, Boaventura Lourenco, and his sisters, Berta Lourenco Baptista and Lourdes Lourenco Goncalves.
Carlos is survived by his son, Daniel Teixeira Lourenco; daughter, Rosa Lourenco Alves; son-in-law, Paul S. Alves, and daughter-in-law, Donna Lourenco.
Carlos is also survived by his grandchildren: Marlena Lourenco Schulz, Murray C. Connell, Carlos L. Lourenco, Marie Connell Jacobs, Melanie Lourenco, Daniel A. Lourenco, James D. Lourenco, Cristina Lourenco, Anthony P. Alves, and Isabella Alves.
Carlos is survived by his great-grandchildren: Christian L. Schulz, Olivia Schulz, Priscilla Lourenco, Jackson Lourenco, Athena Lourenco, Nova Lourenco, Liam O’Sullivan, and Myla Jacobs and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carlos immigrated from Almada Portugal, where he was born, to the USA in the late 1950’s but first lived in a Montreal for a few years. He worked for Engelhard Industries (fka BASF) where he retired after 27 years as a painter. He then went on to do property management work in Hoboken for nearly 10 years and then retiring for a second time.
He loved spending time with his family, friends and his little dog Chi Chi. He enjoyed the sea, swimming, painting, gardening, and watching sports (especially his Benfica Team playing).
A visitation for Carlos will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home the following day at 8:00AM. A funeral mass will take place Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 403 Spring St., Elizabeth, NJ 07201. A funeral will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
