I miss you so much mommy , this is one of my favorite pics of you , I miss being able to see you now that I live close to where you live , your always on my mind , I wish you were still here so that I can spend more time with you . Wow it’s been 5 years and it’s been a lot of growing pains but I can say today that this entire journey has been a very humbling one .  Still standing  and growing . My  family needs to  sit together and settle our past going back to our childhood.  How can we ever move on …

I truly understand … u did it for the love of what mattered most in ur life Us . Mom u had a hard life and u were so young and naive and as children we became victims face less  souls. I am not alone anymore I share my time with Carmen and I promise to always be there for her . I need her and she needs me we are healing together.

Mom, you have given me the most Precious gift you can give someone , LIFE . I never thought I would have to go through such a devastating experience however difficult it has been for myself and my siblings . I am writing  and  hoping to relieve so much pain in my heart by the void I feel from my mother leaving this world... I'm trying not to be selfish , I thank God and  must remember always that my mom has found peace and is finally pain free. I know when my time comes mom will b waiting with my departed siblings . ...  Mommy ILove U 😢... D. Martinez. 

Eddie, when you're mom asked me to be your grandmother's chauffeur and companion to your wedding. I said to myself, what did I volunteered to do (Lol). Let me tell you..I have no regrets. She made me laugh, from the time I helped her get dressed and all the way to the church. She was a joker and the things she said (where a bit explicit, but yet hysterical). After church we both looked at each other and said I'm hungry. I drove for about 15 minutes and all I could fine was pizza. I knew she couldn't have it.. but it was the best pizza I had eaten and happy to have shared it with her. It was so funny as we ate it in the car, she couldn't stop talking as to how handsome you looked. Carmen made me laugh so much that day. She loved you and Jessica so much. She was spunky a joker, moody, strong minded...but loved. 

Margie I still remember when you prepared me before we went to see your mom last week. To see her in the wheel chair with a smile and then in the room as we both continue to make her smile more (you captured her smile that day with the pictures you took)...to me that was precious. That smile is what I'll always remember. Thank you for taking me and sharing that smile with me. She seemed at peace and you did everything in your power for her. Be proud and hold your head up high, as she's looking down at you and thanking the lord for all that you did for her. She was a tough cookie..but she loved you so much!

One of the fondest memories I have of my mom was whenever I visited her with my family mom would always ask me what did I want her to cook for dinner, the answer was always the same (steak ,beans Nd white rice.). Mommy had a way of making her beans , very simple (just beans n potato) Nd her steak is indescribable it was just as simple as her beans but it always brought me back to my youth , so delicious unlike me I garnish my beans like I’m  decorating a Xmas tree Nd my steak just as dressy but mommy’s food was special . I’m going to miss my mom Nd our calls to each other everyday ,when she got sick she wouldn’t call but I continued to call to make her laugh . I will never forget you mommy, I love you always .
