SEPTEMBER 16, 1944-13 APRIL, 2021 was born on September 16, 1944 in Bayamo Granma, Cuba, the son of the late Cesar Augusto Suros Perez and Gloria Ramirez Lopez. In Cuba he worked as a accountant. On September 2, 1968 he married the love of his life Ana Ramos Chavez. They shared two children, Cesar and Maria. He arrived to the United States via Costa Rica on October 8, 1980 with his family residing in Elizabeth where he lived for the past 41 years. He worked as a machine operator for Mannkraft Corp now Box USA in Newark, where he held several positions from December 10, 1980 to retirement March 7, 2007 and he did not believe on a sick day mostly working over 25 overtime hours week. A man who kept to himself he respected others and was well respected and honorable. In his spare time he would bring and pick up his grandkids from school often treating them to ice cream on Friday’s. He loved to read books, magazines, and newspapers weekly. He had an immense love for writing. His passion was history and enjoyed talking and sharing stories from the pass where no conversations would be left behind. He loved to get away with his family. He also shared many yearly trips with his wife where they traveled to Florida, Las Vegas, The Grand Canyon and Canada. They frequently visited the Dominican Republic he loved that country and their culture. He enjoyed watching baseball and boxing. “Papi” passed away peacefully at the Father Hudson House surrounded by his two children. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Ana, his son Cesar, his wife and their 3 children. His daughter Maria and her husband Ernesto and their daughters Katelyn, Melissa and Lianna. His brother Juan, wife Teresa in Florida. Several nieces and nephews in New Jersey, Florida, Cuba and cousins in Venezuela. He is predeceased by his parents Cesar and Gloria Suros. His sister in law Mavelina Ramos in 1986 (NJ). His father in law Wilfredo Selva in 2010 (NJ), his brother Baldomero Suros 2017 (Cuba). He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 9:00 am at Krowicki McCraken Funeral Home Linden, NJ. Burial will be at Chapel of Roses Mausoleum, Rosedale Cemetery Linden, NJ. Visitation on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 form 3 to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital. The American Diabetes Association or Father Hudson Center For Hope Hospice will be appreciated.
