

Dolores Val Mostich passed away at age 94 on April 20, 2026.
She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on February 14,1932 to Fred and Ella Searry.
Dolores went to Woodrow Wilson Elementary, Thedore Roosevelt Junior High and graduated from Battin High School in 1949. Dolores would go on to be the head secretary at Thomas Edison Vocational High School in Elizabeth from 1964 and retired in 1994.
In her personal life, Dolores adored music and had a beautiful soprano singing voice. She was one of two girls chosen to sing in the New Jersey All State Chorus while she was in high school. She also joined the choir where she attended mass at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. She met the love of her life in that choir, John Mostich, and they were married on February 14, 1954. They then went on to have two children, John and Valerie.
Dolores was predeceased by her loving husband John in 1992. Dolores is survived by and will be deeply missed by her son John Mostich, daughter Valerie Giardina and her husband Angelo Giardina, her granddaughter Amanda Singer and husband Gary Singer and their children and Dolores’ great grandchildren Cole Thomas and Dean Angelo, and her granddaughter Alexandra Giardina and her fiancé Nicholas Walasek.
Her love touched many lives and will be remembered always.
Friends and family are invited to Krowicki McCraken Funeral Home in Linden, NJ on Sunday, April 26 from 3pm-7pm and Mass at
St. Vladimir Ukrainian Church in Elizabeth, NJ on Monday, April 27 at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
