Edward Kolodziej

It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of an amazing and humble man, Edward “Eddie” or “Ed” of Elizabeth, Nj. Ed was born on April 11, 1962 in Wabrlelno, Poland. He moved to NJ in 1979 and became a lifelong resident. Sadly he departed this world on December 6, 2023 at the age of 61.

Ed left behind a legacy of kindness and love. He touched the lives of everyone he encountered with his laugh, smile, and his jokes. His humbleness was shown in every aspect of his life. He always prioritized the well being of others, before his own. Ed loved bowling, sports, and scratch offs. He was an avid Yankees, Cowboys, Rangers, Celtics, Miami Hurricanes, and Georgetown Hoyas fan. Most of all, Ed loved being with his family.

Edward is survived by his wife Densie Kolodziej, A devoted father to Amber Kolodziej. He was a dedicated son- in- law to Richard Fanfulik and Margaret Fanfulik of Union. A beloved brother-in-law to Gina Rodriguez and her husband Jose. A kind uncle to their children: Adriana, Joseph, Melanie and Christopher Rodriguez. Sister-in-law Irena Stankiewicz and her children: Kasia S, Tomek and his wife Stephanie. Mariusz and his wife Monica. Sister Lidia Homa and her husband Marian and their children: Natalie and her husband Borris, Kasia, and Alex Homa. Brother Stanley and his children Isabelle & Jakob. Sister Magaret Drozdewicz & her husband Bogdan & their children Daniel & his wife Meghan. Veronica & her husband Jonathan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Kolodziej, Parents Walter & Anna (Stankiewicz) Kolodziej. Two brothers Andrzej Stankiewicz & Jozef Kolodziej.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George AVe., Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral mass will occur on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1000 am to 1100 am at St Genevieve’s Church, 200 Monmouth Rd., Elizabeth, NJ 07208. A funeral will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 1130 am to 1200 pm at St. Gertrude’s Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ 07067.

A visitation for Edward will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A funeral will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208.
