Emmanuel R Pilao

Emmanuel R Pilao of Union, NJ, age 40, was called to be with our Lord on December 10, 2022. He was surrounded by his loved ones during the time of his passing. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rosalyn, and their precious daughter, Isla Rose; as well as his mother, Remedios Pilao; his siblings, Christopher Pilao (Michelle), Sheba Ambulo, Ulysses Pilao (Vina), Shella Bindra (Roger), Judith Pilao, Genesis Pilao (Patryce), Francis Joseph Pilao, Maria Cecilia Foreman, Ma. Cristina Nicodemus (Jay); and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Roberto Pilao.

Emmanuel, also known to many as Emy, Emil, and Manny, was born on November 17, 1982 in the Philippines. He migrated to the US to pursue his career in nursing. Having natural compassion, and a comforting presence that lifted the mood in any room, he had a successful career as a nurse, and was loved by many of his patients. Emmanuel had such a love for learning as much as he possibly could, in all areas of life, and enjoyed sharing everything he learned with anyone he came across. He was always eager to try new things, and do the work to excel in them. He also had a major love of animals, which he passed onto his daughter, which is evident in their numerous dogs and pet fish. The two of them together, along with his wife, regularly visited zoos and animal parks, and would watch and feed them, while learning all about each one. He was always making sure to teach his daughter everything he possibly could whenever an opportunity presented itself.

In addition to being an amazing husband and the best father, he was also a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Emmanuel loved his family and friends dearly, just as his family and friends loved him. He touched so many lives during his time in this world, and continues to do so. He is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.

A visitation for Emmanuel will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home the following morning at 9:00 AM. The funeral mass will take place Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Genevieve's Church, 200 Monmouth Rd, Elizabeth, NJ 07208, Elizabeth, NJ 07208. A funeral will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
