Enrique Acevedo Torres

April 15, 1936 – October 6, 2025

With deep love and remembrance, the family of Enrique Acevedo Torres announces his passing on October 6, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on April 15, 1936, in Lares, Puerto Rico, Enrique grew up on a family farm surrounded by the love and laughter of his 12 siblings. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, humility, and family - principles that guided him throughout his life.

Enrique was known for his strong work ethic, quiet resilience, and appreciation for the simple joys of life. He especially loved listening to mariachi music, which always brought a smile to his face and a spark to his spirit.

He is survived by his devoted sister Raquel, with whom he lived and who lovingly cared for him in his later years. Enrique also leaves behind four other siblings -Mabel, Delia, Esmerelda, and Ismael- as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly for his gentle humor.

Enrique’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the stories and traditions he helped nurture across generations.
