Born on March 26,1935 in Ukraine, Diana emigrated with her family to the United States in 1951.
Diana was a life long parishioner of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church in Elizabeth, NJ, a member of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America Branch 24 and a member/counselor of PLAST - Ukrainian Scouting Organization.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Paul, her loving son Dr. Stefan Bodnarenko, two sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her daughter Maria and her son-in-law Taras Borkowsky, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a niece, six nephews and their families.
Diana will be remembered for her strong faith and her immeasurable love of family and friends.
vigil for the deceased will be held at 9 AM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, 309 Grier Avenue, Elizabeth NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at the church at 10 AM. Internment will be at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, 280 Main St., South Bound Brook, NJ around 12:30 PM.
