Felix Martinez was born and raised in Camuy Puerto Rico. He came from a family of 9 sisters and 2 brothers.
At age 18, he joined the US Army. He served for 2 years and was a paratrooper. Following his service, Felix moved to New York in 1962. He studied photography, which he had a passion for throughout his life.
He met his future wife Rose in 1967. They married in 1970. They have 2 children, Nancy and Felix Jr. They resided in Brooklyn, New York until 1985 before relocating to Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Felix had a 42 year career at the US Postal Service. He served in various positions, ultimately as a Material Manager Specialist/Special Projects Photographer prior to his retirement in 2011.
Felix had a passion for photography. As a professional photographer, he photographed weddings, baptisms, sweet sixteens, family events, political activities and other projects over a 50 year span. Felix had a passion for nature and architectural photography. Felix also enjoyed his outdoor garden and nature.
Shortly after retiring from the US Postal Service, he became active in various community events in Elizabeth, NJ and surrounding areas, ultimately leading to his appointment as Elizabeth Parking Commissioner for over 5 years.
He is survived by his wife Rose; his daughter Nancy (Leo) and their children Sofia and Tonya; his son Felix Jr. (Denisse) and their children Gabriel and Daniel.

A memorial service for Felix will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, followed by a prayer service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
